LunaRec helps you remember what you saw and heard—not take ownership of it. This policy explains the information we need, how we use it, and the control that stays with you.

THE SHORT VERSION

You own your content.

Your screen recordings, audio, transcripts, notes, and outputs remain yours. LunaRec receives only the limited permission needed to process them for you. We do not sell them, and private Customer Content is not used to train general-purpose AI models without a separate opt-in.

We do not listen. We do not watch. We do not read.

The LunaRec team does not listen to your audio, watch your screen or video recordings, or read your transcripts, notes, summaries, or other private content as part of providing the service. Automated systems process that content only to perform the features you request. Human access is not part of normal operation and is restricted to exceptional cases: when you explicitly request support and authorize access, when necessary to address a security incident, or when legally required. We never use private Customer Content for employee review, advertising, or general-purpose AI training.

What this policy covers

This policy explains how LunaRec handles personal information on our website and in our screen-video, audio-recording, transcription, and contextual-intelligence service.

A full-screen recording may include other people, messages, documents, notifications, or sensitive information. The customer decides what to record and is responsible for notices, permission, and lawful capture. LunaRec processes that content only to provide the requested service.

Information we handle

We handle only the information needed to provide, secure, and improve LunaRec.

Account information such as name, email, organization, login details, and preferences.
Customer Content such as screen video, frames, system or microphone audio, transcripts, notes, summaries, speaker labels, and action items.
Service information such as device and browser type, approximate IP-based location, feature activity, diagnostics, and security logs.
Communications and subscription records. Payment card details are handled by our payment provider rather than stored by LunaRec.

How we use information

We use information for the purposes below.

Provide synchronized screen and audio capture, playback, transcription, visual search, summaries, and related features.
Authenticate accounts, sync content, respond to support, and process subscriptions.
Protect the service, investigate abuse, diagnose failures, and meet legal obligations.
Improve LunaRec using service telemetry and aggregated or de-identified information.

Your content and AI processing

As between you and LunaRec, you retain ownership of Customer Content. You give us limited permission to host, transmit, transcribe, analyze, organize, preview, and display it only as needed to operate, secure, and support the service.

LunaRec does not sell Customer Content. We do not use private recordings, audio, transcripts, or generated outputs to train general-purpose AI models unless you make a separate, clear opt-in choice.

When information is shared

We disclose information only when needed to operate the service, follow your direction, comply with valid law, protect rights or safety, or complete a corporate transaction under appropriate confidentiality.

Providers for infrastructure, transcription, AI processing, authentication, analytics, support, and payments must follow contractual restrictions. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention and deletion

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal duties. Customers can delete content or request account deletion. Protected backups may retain residual copies temporarily before routine deletion.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, including access controls and protection in transit. No service can guarantee absolute security. We will provide legally required incident notices.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain uses, withdraw consent, or appeal a privacy decision. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Email privacy@lunarec.app to make a request. We may verify your identity and authority. If LunaRec processes content for an organization, that organization may need to handle the request as controller.

International use and age limits

LunaRec may use providers in other countries and uses recognized safeguards where required. The service is not directed to children under 13. Business customers must not record minors without legally required permission and protection.

Updates and contact

We may update this policy as LunaRec evolves. We will post the revised version here and provide added notice when a change materially affects privacy rights or our use of information.
